Passages

Passages is a three-hour performance concert by Lapin Rex, situated between concert, performance, and ritual. Presented in St. Petri Church as part of Malmöfestivalen, the work guided the audience between different parts of the church, allowing its architecture to become part of the composition. Most visitors experienced the work from the church benches, while selected audience members were invited into moments of participation.

Live singing, duduk, and cello formed an evolving soundscape throughout the performance. Passages was conceived as an occult prayer: a collective ceremony for finding a passage through dark times.
